Ian has an extensive background in law and technology. Ian has consulted with Fortune 500 companies, state attorneys general and numerous leading law firms on the preservation, collection and review of electronic records in litigation, as well as strategies for increasing efficiency in the litigation process. Ian is an attorney by training with over 15 years of trial experience in complex litigation. While in private practice, Ian was recognized as one of the top information technology attorneys by Virginia Business magazine in their annual Virginia Legal Elite listing.
Ian was also the founder of DiscSense, Inc., a company focused on search technology for legal resources. After executing a successful growth strategy, the company was acquired by West Publishing Company.
Ian received his JD from the University of Richmond Law School in Virginia, where he was an editor of the law review. Ian also served as a judicial clerk for Justice A. Christian Compton of the Virginia Supreme Court prior to entering private practice. Ian is a frequent author and lecturer on electronic discovery and the use of technology in litigation.
Ray Reaux – Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Reaux has extensive experience in leading enterprise system and open source development. Mr. Reaux brings a high-level understanding and experience with the latest technologies to the legal market, as well as extensive hands-on experience in code development and software project management. Mr. Reaux has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and has worked in both the aerospace and information systems industry. Prior to joining Servient, Mr. Reaux was Director of Software Engineering for Parikh Advanced Systems. Mr. Reaux has also held technology development positions with NASA, Versata, Circuit City and the Federal Reserve Bank.
Mr. Reaux holds BS, MS and AD degrees in computer science and industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech.
With over 20 years in the legal marketplace, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Servient. Jim served as the President of DiscSense, Inc., a company focused on search technology for legal resources, prior to its acquisition by West Publishing Company. Jim began his sales career at Lawyers Cooperative Publishing Company.
Jim received his BS in Business from the University of Connecticut, where he was also the Goalkeeper on the NCAA Div. 1 Championship soccer team. Jim received his MBA from the University of Richmond in 1990.
Servient’s E-Discovery and Forensics service offering and business strategy is managed under the direction of Erica Garrison.
Erica’s significant computer forensics experience includes: performing and overseeing numerous examinations of computers and computer based evidence, computer forensics analysis and expert reports, directing large electronic discovery projects, consulting with clients on matters involving electronically stored information, and conducting fraud investigations. Erica has provided expert testimony by deposition, affidavit and at trial on fraud and computer forensics. She serves as an independent examiner, and has been appointed a discovery master by the Court. Erica is a frequent speaker on computer forensics, fraud and electronic discovery and has authored numerous articles on these topics.
In her previous employment, Erica was the Director of the Lab and lead the initiative to be the first private computer forensics laboratory accredited by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB). This accreditation demonstrates that a computer forensics laboratory’s operating standards meet quality standards set by ASCLD/LAB. Accreditation criteria include, personnel, technical procedures, equipment and physical facilities.
Erica is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is a Certified Fraud Examiner and an EnCase Certified Examiner. She is a past president and current board member of the Houston, TX local chapter of the High Technology Investigation Association.
Jerome manages the delivery of projects at Servient leading the project management team in the implementation of Servient’s data preservation, management and review projects. Prior to joining Servient, Mr. Dizon was a member of Conoco-Phillips’ internal electronic discovery task force created by the Conoco-Phillips legal department and was involved in the creation of the company’s global electronic discovery readiness and response initiative. Prior to Conoco-Phillips, Mr. Dizon led electronic litigation support teams at Bracewell Giuliani.
Mr. Dizon received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas.
Kaustubh is responsible for the management of Servient’s operations in India. Kaustubh has extensive experience in managing product development work for US based companies. He has held technical and leadership positions at product development companies including Synerzip and NetAps earning recognition for his technical and managerial excellence.
Kaustubh holds a bachelors degree in engineering from Nagpur University, India.
